Applications for this initiative, in partnership with JP Morgan, can be made on the institution’s website.
With the purpose of training and developing people, Gastromotiva offers the “Gastronomy Microbusiness” course aimed at individuals from favelas and peripheries who wish to use their culinary knowledge to start a business.
Participants will learn how to become entrepreneurs and generate income through gastronomy. Supported by JP Morgan, the course is entirely online, allowing students to progress at their own pace, with Gastromotiva’s team guiding them through every step of the journey.
“We have a significant history in education and social entrepreneurship. One of our goals is to create mechanisms for more people to become entrepreneurs through gastronomy. Therefore, participants will gain a lot of information to realize their dreams. This is a key asset of the Social Gastronomy movement”, said David Hertz, founder and president of Gastromotiva.
The course can be completed in about a month and covers topics such as Business Planning, Regional Cuisine, and Micro-entrepreneurial Practices.
Many former Gastromotiva students now hold positions in prestigious restaurants or have started their own businesses through Social Gastronomy. By taking this course, students can complete the lessons, receive their certificate, and start their entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, there is a robust network of students and alumni who participate in numerous Gastromotiva and partner activities, fostering valuable connections.
