Women’s Secretariat concludes Women’s Month at Refettorio Gastromotiva

On the evening of March 28, Gastromotiva’s Human Resources team and the Rio de Janeiro Women’s Secretariat celebrated the conclusion of Women’s Month, honoring over 80 women involved in entrepreneurship and professional training programs. This event, part of the Solidarity Dinner project, featured remarks from Secretary Joyce Trindade, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities for women facing challenges. The celebration highlighted the transformative impact of supporting women, not just for individuals but for entire communities.
Throughout March, 12 renowned female chefs contributed to the Solidarity Dinners at Refettorio Gastromotiva, sharing their experiences and underscoring the significance of female presence in the culinary world.
Chef Ana Carbonell reflected on the professional kitchen as a challenging space for women, stressing the need for resilience against discrimination and emphasizing the importance of fair remuneration and real opportunities.
This collaborative effort showcased the role of social gastronomy in serving over 1,000 meals to those in vulnerable situations.
